Photo Finish and Prayerful Start

Inspired by a post from Pam @ Digging and Les @ A Tidewater Gardener, I took a look back over my photos from last year and decided to post some of my favorite photos from 2011.

I realize these photos are far from professional, but this is just meant to be a review of my garden as seen through my eyes and the lens of my simple Canon PowerShot camera.  Aside from maybe a little cropping here and there, the photos are just as they came out of the camera.  (I have no clue how to use Photoshop!)

As we begin the new year, I hope you enjoy this 2011 photo review.

A January Sky

February's white in snow and bloom

  March blooms and foliage

April's poppy and pond

May's blooms and bees

June's color in sky and earth

July's container color

August's daytime reality and nighttime beauty

September's butterfly and bloom

October's blue and bright

November's friend

December's cabbage and color

A New Year's Prayer

  1. Toni, your garden is simply amazing and you have captured it beautifully! I always find so much inspiration here and the care and love you put in to your garden is clearly evident. You give that same care to all of your blogging friends and for that I'm grateful. Thanks for being such a sweet follower of TWG during 2011. Best wishes for a blessed and joyous 2012. <3 from Austin ;)

  4. Toni, thanks for joining in. I really like your sky shots, which is one of my favorite subjects. I also like your March scan, it looks like a botanical print from ages ago. Happy new year to you and your family.

  5. Nice overview.

What did you use to create the "Spring+Scan+5+3-13-11+001.jpg"?
How many steps did that take? Nice!

The only way that I can figure out how to do that is to cut the rest of the picture off each flower in paint shop pro, and then paste them into a new background...

  8. Lovely. I really enjoyed the look back. You have such a beautiful garden. Loved the 'little friend'! And your pond is simply gorgeous. What I love the most is the colors. March blooms, the orange and purple of June, (I love orange and purple together), even the beautiful mix of colors in the cabbage. Very nice. Happy New Year!

Really lovely photos every one of them.
Looking back through them again, I think my favorites are the Garden Angel and the Pond.
I am also using a Canon PowerShot - great little camera!
