Evening Shadows

What do you get when you mix the evening light
with a snow covered garden?

Beautiful shadows....

With the setting of the sun, the shadows faded away.

And with the rising of the sun (and temps),
the snow is fading away, too.

Spring is next on the horizon.

  1. Toni, what a lot of snow you still have! The shadow shots are amazing, so delicate and beautiful. Snow transforms everything in the garden, doesn't it? I love the way the snow looks next to the open water in your pond. The last photo is so subtle; excellent photography.

  2. Gorgeous shadow shots indeed! I've told others in the snowy parts of the world that while I don't envy them the snow and the cold, they do make for breathtaking shadow shots and yours are another example of what I'm talking about! Fantastic! Hope your weekend is going well! Stay warm!

  3. Underneath that snow, your spring flowers are waiting to grow!

    SILLY SHADOW DITTY

Shadows may or may not be
    Patterns of urbanity.
    If a shadow threatens you,
Here, my dear, is what to do:
Grab the shadow by the throat,
Toss it to a billy goat,
So the goat can chomp and chew,
    Keeping it away from you!

  5. Oh Toni what gorgeous photos! It is hard to imagine that you have that much snow in Texas and we only have rain here in Georgia. I'll trade you!

  11. Fine shadows. You have sun and that is rare here in Niagara Falls at this time of year. We had some yesterday and I was out snapping photos for another trip to Niagara Falls. I even got some good shadowing.

  13. What beautiful winter scenes with all the soft shadows and all that snow. I suspect you are ready to see little buds of green on those trees.

  16. Love your snowy shadows! The fifth photo down looks like a fancy bed head. With the bed completely submerged in snow. Would make for rather uncomfortable sleeping I imagine ;)

Thanks so much for joining in Shadow Shot Sunday!
